INIFA 2022


INPI is a public establishment, entirely self-financed, placed under the supervision of the Ministry responsible for intellectual property, focusing on creation and innovation of French companies. It promotes economic development through its roles and actions aimed at deriving value from innovation: • registering and granting industrial : property rights (patents, trademarks, designs, Soleau envelopes) / receiving and processing applications for geographical indications / maintaining the National Register of Commerce and Companies (RNCS); • daily support for innovators with the creation, deployment and optimisation of their innovation strategy, through various training programmes, as well as dedicated products and services; • provision of resources such as exhaustive legal and technical documentation, free access to databases on patents, trademarks and designs; • active contribution to the definition of IP law and representation of France in the relevant EU and international bodies; • major player in the fight against counterfeiting, in charge of the secretariat for the National Anti-Counterfeiting Committee (CNAC – Comité national anti-contrefaçon); • promotion of “French-style” innovation.
